FastForward Accelerator

FastForward is Palestine’s first startup accelerator, providing aspiring Palestinian entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed in the global market. Selected startups are given a seed investment of USD 20,000 (this round provided through Ibtikar Fund), project-based mentorship from a seasoned pool of knowledgeable entrepreneurs, prime office space and office resources, a network of expert business advisors, and a library of educational materials. Through its 120-day program, FastForward helps entrepreneurs transform fledgling tech ideas into viable, competitive businesses. FastForward was established in 2013 by Leaders Organisation as Palestine’s first startup accelerator.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for highly motivated Palestinian entrepreneurs in the early stages of running an IT business in Palestine. We accept projects ranging from mere ideas to launched/incorporated ventures; they must be regionally/globally oriented and scalable. The founders should be prepared to commit full-time in Ramallah, Palestine for 4 months. The Startup team must have a minimum of 2 members and have the expertise and skills needed to successfully launch the startup.

How does the FastForward program work?

The process begins with an online application. Short listed teams are invited for an in-person interview with the FastForward Management team.  The final teams are chosen for the FastForward Selection Event, in which the teams will work on an assigned project that will be presented to a panel of judges including Ibtikar representatives and evaluated based on the FastForward criteria. The teams with the highest evaluation are selected for the acceleration program and will be offered investment from FastForward.

What are we looking for in an application?

FastForward receives hundreds of applications during each application process, so it is important that each entrepreneur put as much time and information into their application as possible. Every application is evaluated by the same criteria. The criteria for applications are broken into 2 categories: 1. Participants – Quality of the talent and commitment of the founding team members, measured as the team’s Mix, Qualifications, and Experience 2. Viable Business – Quality of the fundamental idea and product/service being marketed by the team, measured as the team’s Strategy, Differentiation, Innovation factors of the product/services (Consumer Target, Market size, Competitors)

Why FastForward?

In the early stage of a startup, especially in an unstable economy like Palestine, entrepreneurs need specialized support to help them transform their business ideas into viable businesses. FastForward Accelerator offers guidance, connections, capital and many other resources to accelerate the launching process.
